Instructions to the Applicant
The information you provide in this application will be used in the background investigation to assist in determining your suitability for the position of San Andreas Peace Officer, in accordance with POST Commission Regulation 1953.
Disqualification
There are very few automatic bases for rejection. Even issues of prior misconduct, such as prior illegal drug use, driving under the influence, theft, or even arrest or conviction are usually not, in and of themselves, automatically disqualifying. However, deliberate misstatements or omissions can and often will result in your application being rejected, regardless of the nature or reason for the misstatements/omissions. In fact, the number one reason individuals "fail" background investigations is because they deliberately withhold or misrepresent job-relevant information from their prospective employer.

44. INTRODUCE YOUR CHARACTER. INCLUDE SOME BACKGROUND STORY, CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT, AND WHY THEY WANT TO JOIN THE DEPARTMENT.
- Daniel Armenta, a six-foot-one, 178-pound man, was born on April 19, 2002. Daniel was the youngest of the family, with two brothers in the family crib and grandparents who cared for him. As Daniel was the youngest in the family crib, he was the center of attention during certain times. Daniel was born into a middle-class Mexican family and raised in the greater Vespucci area. His father worked as a tow truck driver for Public Works. Daniel's father worked long hours to pay various bills and be able to see his children.
Daniel came into high school with his head held high; he was a pretty average kid and made decent grades. Daniel played mostly sports during his four years of high school, focusing mainly on varsity basketball, leading Davis High School to many victories in his time playing.
After concluding high school, Daniel decided to take some time off, starting a career with the Los Santos Transit Service, where he held the position of train engineer for 3 years. He was in charge of driving the train and picking up passengers, then dropping them off at different train stations in Los Santos City. After a year, Daniel lost interest in the job due to his repetitiveness.
During breaks, Daniel occasionally wandered on his phone, mainly on social media. One day, during his social media goof-off, he bumped into an advertisement for the Los Santos Sheriff's Department. It instantly caught his attention. Daniel did some inquiry and found out the perks that can come with being part of the LSSD, which could be favorable for his future. Because of this, he took some time to consider whether he wanted to quit his current job and try to join the Los Santos Sheriff's Department, as it was a whole new career.
Finally, after considering the medical insurance and salary benefits, Daniel convinced himself to pursue a career within the Los Santos Sheriff's Department (MINIMUM 250 WORDS)
