Instructions to the Applicant
The information you provide in this application will be used in the background investigation to assist in determining your suitability for the position of San Andreas Peace Officer, in accordance with POST Commission Regulation 1953.
Disqualification
There are very few automatic bases for rejection. Even issues of prior misconduct, such as prior illegal drug use, driving under the influence, theft, or even arrest or conviction are usually not, in and of themselves, automatically disqualifying. However, deliberate misstatements or omissions can and often will result in your application being rejected, regardless of the nature or reason for the misstatements/omissions. In fact, the number one reason individuals "fail" background investigations is because they deliberately withhold or misrepresent job-relevant information from their prospective employer.

44. INTRODUCE YOUR CHARACTER. INCLUDE SOME BACKGROUND STORY, CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT, AND WHY THEY WANT TO JOIN THE DEPARTMENT.
- Blake Oropeza was born in Vinewood, son of a Mexican mother, and a American father, who left his mother to raise him on her own. She raised him as a heavy Christian around a area known for crime and gambling, at night they would pray for a better life and for safety. Blake would go on to struggle within school, sitting around the half-way mark of his classes, never giving up on his education as his mother eagered him through it.
Blake and his mother struggled throughout his upbringing, hanging around with the wrong crowd of the area, she tried her best to teach her son discipline and hardwork, forcing him to pass highschool and to figure out his true nature. When Blake turned fifteen he witnessed a local deputy talking to the youth of the area, expressing his life and how he has made changes to the area, he had found his true calling in life, to protect and serve, improve his community away from crime.
Blake would find himself working two jobs he wasn't passionate about just after highschool, just to make ends meet. In a local dine-in within Vinewood, getting by as he worked on himself, hitting the gym and improving his physical health, but mentally was going downhill, through his years of adulthood he knew his calling was catching upto him mentally, after four years he decided to apply for LSSD, hoping to improve his situation.
Blake would apply to the LSSD, remembering the deputy who changed his life all those years ago as he wrote out the application form, the variety of career possibilities to improve his local community and to help himself within. Believing his skills of basic law would help him excel in his written exams, he would know how to talk to the local community, growing up side-by-side.
