Instructions to the Applicant
The information you provide in this application will be used in the background investigation to assist in determining your suitability for the position of San Andreas Peace Officer, in accordance with POST Commission Regulation 1953.
Disqualification
There are very few automatic bases for rejection. Even issues of prior misconduct, such as prior illegal drug use, driving under the influence, theft, or even arrest or conviction are usually not, in and of themselves, automatically disqualifying. However, deliberate misstatements or omissions can and often will result in your application being rejected, regardless of the nature or reason for the misstatements/omissions. In fact, the number one reason individuals "fail" background investigations is because they deliberately withhold or misrepresent job-relevant information from their prospective employer.

44. INTRODUCE YOUR CHARACTER. INCLUDE SOME BACKGROUND STORY, CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT, AND WHY THEY WANT TO JOIN THE DEPARTMENT.
- Harvey Booth was born back in 2000 in Los Santos, San Andreas. At the time when he was born, his parents had already one older baby, Jessica, Harvey's sister. His parents, John and Elena Booth were a young couple and they were doing their best to maintain stability within the family. Elena's parents were from Paleto Bay, and they expressed their reservations about her becoming a mother at such a young age. However, emotions took over, witnessing the unwavering commitment of John and Elena to their success as a family, they were around offering support and wisdom.
Growing up in Los Santos, Harvey was exposed to a variety of experiences that actively shaped his character and made him stronger from a young age. His parents, though young, instilled in him the values of hard work, empathy, and the importance of family in his life. Jessica was a year older than Harvey, but they had a great opportunity of growing up together.
Harvey's elementary school was marked by a sense of wonder and eagerness to learn. He showed an early inclination toward leadership and teamwork, which led to him leading group classes and bringing classmates together for collaborative projects, showcasing a natural talent for teamwork and communication at the time.
As Harvey stepped into High School in Los Santos, he became more aware of the challenges of his surroundings. Los Santos, with its diverse communities, provided real-life lessons for him. Harvey, driven by a desire to make a positive impact, found himself drawn to community service and volunteer work in his free time. Aside from school, he loved his grandparents and Paleto Bay.
Despite the fast city life, Harvey cherished and enjoyed his summers spent in the Paleto Bay, where his grandparents resided. There, he found the simplicity of living and the beauty of enjoying time spent with family and friends. Motivated by a desire to make a positive impact and leave a trace, Harvey was helping in community lounge of Paleto Bay where his grandmother worked as a psychologist.
After high school, Harvey found himself at a crossroads while many of his peers were charting their paths to higher education. Despite the uncertainty, one thing remained clear: his passion for cars. Like any typical high school student, Harvey had a fascination with automobiles, and he decided to steer his future towards hands-on work with them. This decision raised up some concern from his parents, who valued education but they respected Harvey's desire to pursue his current passion.
Harvey's romanticized vision of a lifelong career as a mechanic began to fade after spending a few years working in a garage in Los Santos. Despite his initial enthusiasm, he found himself feeling unfulfilled and yearning for something more meaningful. Dissatisfied with both his career trajectory and his earnings, Harvey decided to have a heart-to-heart conversation with his parents. He expressed his desire to explore new opportunities and pursue a path that would allow him to make a positive impact, something he hadn't been aware of before. He decided to move out to the Paleto Bay where he stands inside of motel.
