Instructions to the Applicant
The information you provide in this application will be used in the background investigation to assist in determining your suitability for the position of San Andreas Peace Officer, in accordance with POST Commission Regulation 1953.
Disqualification
There are very few automatic bases for rejection. Even issues of prior misconduct, such as prior illegal drug use, driving under the influence, theft, or even arrest or conviction are usually not, in and of themselves, automatically disqualifying. However, deliberate misstatements or omissions can and often will result in your application being rejected, regardless of the nature or reason for the misstatements/omissions. In fact, the number one reason individuals "fail" background investigations is because they deliberately withhold or misrepresent job-relevant information from their prospective employer.

44. INTRODUCE YOUR CHARACTER. INCLUDE SOME BACKGROUND STORY, CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT, AND WHY THEY WANT TO JOIN THE DEPARTMENT.
- Ryan O'Reilly was born on the 17th of June 2000 to a family of John and Martha O'Reilly, an immigrant family who came during the late 90s to Los Santos to settle down from southern Boston in search of a new place to call home for him, his brothers and his sister. For him, his childhood was somewhat of an uneventful passing by as he'd often from time to time spend playing with his friends or studying for what's about to come next in school. His ambitions were at the time to become a doctor with the support of his family but often priorities shifted in other directions regarding what to pursue in his ambitions, as his un-eventful childhood was abruptly broken by the tragic death of his father who died in the line of duty as a police officer. His father was employed within Los Santos Sheriff's Department for years and by his funeral young Ryan was already in middle school at that age came home one day to witness his father's death on the news and later watched his casket close as the dirt came over. That impact on Ryan was the most out of the all children in the family as he'd barely finished his middle school and high school all together in Alta where he lived for most of his life until it was over.
After finishing school, his role became somewhat of a supportive one for himself and his family as he'd often switch jobs and move away from Alta to other parts of the city in search of jobs that he works. Upon finding a certain job that supported him for the long run he'd continue his studies in college for a doctor but that soon came to a grinding halt. With very little motivation to pursue it he simply gave up becoming something that would've been once his dream. He'd finally settle down for long-term work as a Heavy vehicle operator for Bluewater logistics and other companies that are involved with the trucking business and moving goods from one place to another. When it finally closed down he'd often go back to work various jobs for few years after its closure until someone suggested from his friends to go down his father's steps of becoming a law enforcement officer. That task at the moment seemed like a "You wish" moment but after some time and consideration, he was hesitant to do it. But after long talk with his closest to him, Ryan decided to give it a try and apply for LSSD and see where that takes him.
