Instructions to the Applicant
The information you provide in this application will be used in the background investigation to assist in determining your suitability for the position of San Andreas Peace Officer, in accordance with POST Commission Regulation 1953.
Disqualification
There are very few automatic bases for rejection. Even issues of prior misconduct, such as prior illegal drug use, driving under the influence, theft, or even arrest or conviction are usually not, in and of themselves, automatically disqualifying. However, deliberate misstatements or omissions can and often will result in your application being rejected, regardless of the nature or reason for the misstatements/omissions. In fact, the number one reason individuals "fail" background investigations is because they deliberately withhold or misrepresent job-relevant information from their prospective employer.

44. INTRODUCE YOUR CHARACTER. INCLUDE SOME BACKGROUND STORY, CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT, AND WHY THEY WANT TO JOIN THE DEPARTMENT.
- James Braddock was born March 17th, 1994 in Toms River, New Jersey to a normal household. His father, David, a retired police officer with the Toms River Police Department inspired a young James to pursue the path of becoming a police officer. James grew up and graduated high school with a 3.6 GPA and then attended community college where he obtained his associates degree in criminology. Once he graduated with his associates degree, James went on to take the civil service test to try and get accepted for the role of a law enforcement officer. However, James missed the mark by just a few points therefore disqualifying him from getting an interview with a hiring police department. He was down on his luck and depressed that he didn’t meet his goal like his father had.
When he found out about his scores, ironically he was watching the news and heard about the booming economy in Los Santos he decided to take a leap of faith and move to the west coast in hopes of starting a new chapter and to fulfill his desire of making his family proud like his father had. James got set up pretty quickly, he found a place where he could rent and stay at in the time being of searching for work where he saw the ad on his smartphone about ProTech Security Solutions. He had no experience at all in that line of work and just coming off of his defeat of not passing the civil service exam to meet the law enforcement criteria, he applied there in hopes to get his foot in the door. James ultimately got accepted into ProTech where he currently works now as a Security Officer I, serving the clients and making sure their property and venues are safe. Even though James enjoys the line of work he is currently in, it’s his passion for wanting to serve the city of Los Santos even more by becoming a Deputy Sheriff and doing his very best to make it a safe and better place.
