Instructions to the Applicant
The information you provide in this application will be used in the background investigation to assist in determining your suitability for the position of San Andreas Peace Officer, in accordance with POST Commission Regulation 1953.
Disqualification
There are very few automatic bases for rejection. Even issues of prior misconduct, such as prior illegal drug use, driving under the influence, theft, or even arrest or conviction are usually not, in and of themselves, automatically disqualifying. However, deliberate misstatements or omissions can and often will result in your application being rejected, regardless of the nature or reason for the misstatements/omissions. In fact, the number one reason individuals "fail" background investigations is because they deliberately withhold or misrepresent job-relevant information from their prospective employer.

44. INTRODUCE YOUR CHARACTER. INCLUDE SOME BACKGROUND STORY, CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT, AND WHY THEY WANT TO JOIN THE DEPARTMENT.
- In the year 2000, everyone was celebrating the new millennia, in contrast to before, thinking that the world was doomed and Y2K was the end of it all. However, in New York, on January 25 of that year, a couple was struggling in the hospital. Despite the excitement surrounding the new millennium, this couple was facing a different kind of challenge. The wife was in labor, but the baby wasn't coming easily. The doctors and nurses were working tirelessly to ensure a safe delivery. Finally, after hours of labor, their beautiful baby was born, bringing joy and hope amidst the uncertainty of the new year. The baby boy in question was Anthony Cifer. A year has gone by, and Anthony took his first steps, said his first words, and everything was going smoothly. Until tragedy struck in September 2001. Anthony's father was off-duty and contemplated whether he should go or not, and he ended his pondering with the ultimate decision of not going, as one extra person would not do anything. By the end of it all, Anthony's father was depressed, as his friends who rushed on scene were all killed.
From that point on, Anthony started to admire his father's job and wanted to get into law enforcement himself. Whenever he had his birthdays, he would always make them police-themed parties and dress up as a police officer. As he got older, Anthony worked hard in school and participated in community service programs to prepare himself for a career in law enforcement. His father's experience in September 2001 had a profound impact on him and fueled his determination to make a difference in his community.
During middle school, Anthony joined the Junior Police Academy to learn more about law enforcement and gain hands-on experience. He excelled in the program and was even awarded the "Top Recruit" title at the end of the year. His dedication and passion for serving and protecting others only grew stronger as he continued to learn and train in the field. Anthony went on to volunteer at local events, assist with community outreach programs, and even shadowed police officers during their shifts. His commitment to making a positive impact in his community was unwavering, and he knew that pursuing a career in law enforcement was the right path for him. As he graduated high school, Anthony was already well on his way to achieving his dream of becoming a police officer and following in his father's footsteps.
High school was just the beginning for Anthony, as he enrolled in a criminal justice program at a nearby college to further his knowledge and skills. He immersed himself in his studies, eager to absorb everything he could about the law and the criminal justice system. Anthony also took on internships at local law enforcement agencies, gaining hands-on experience and building valuable relationships within the field. With each step he took, Anthony grew more confident in his decision to pursue a career in law enforcement, knowing that he was on the right path to making a difference in the world.
After graduating at the top of his class, Anthony got admitted to Columbia University, where his main course was criminal justice. His professors were impressed by his dedication and knowledge, often singling him out in class discussions. Anthony continued to excel in his studies, taking on advanced courses and participating in research projects that explored cutting-edge developments in the field of criminal justice. As graduation approached, Anthony felt a sense of fulfillment and excitement, knowing that he was well-prepared to embark on a career that he waited for his whole life. With his passion and determination, Anthony was ready to take on the challenges and responsibilities that came with being a law enforcement professional.
By the time Anthony graduated, the NYPD was hiring and he knew he had found his calling. He applied and went through a rigorous selection process, showcasing his dedication and passion for serving and protecting his community. Finally, after months of hard work and preparation, Anthony received the call he had been waiting for.. He had been denied a spot in the police academy. He was devastated, he felt as if all his work was for nothing. Anthony gave up on his dream of being a law enforcement agent, and moved to Washington D.C to pursue another job with his degree.
He found a position at a health insurance company, where he worked as a policy analyst and picked up a couple languages from his coworkers. Although he excelled in his new role and found fulfillment in his work, there was always a part of him that felt missing. Despite his success in his new career, Anthony couldn't shake the feeling of disappointment and regret over not being able to fulfill his dream of becoming a police officer. He often wondered what could have been if he had been accepted into the academy. However, he knew that he had to move forward and make the best of his current situation. Deep down, Anthony still held onto the hope that one day he might have another opportunity to pursue his passion for law enforcement.
After some time and upon his parents’ request, Anthony moved to the state of San Andreas, to the city of Los Santos. Where he worked in the ULSA as an assistant professor of criminal justice. Despite not being able to become a police officer, Anthony found fulfillment in teaching and mentoring future law enforcement professionals. His experience and passion for the field shone through in his classes, and he quickly gained a reputation as a dedicated and knowledgeable educator.
Anthony’s spark for being a law enforcement agent lit again, and after discovering that the LSSD is hiring from an employee, he decided to apply for a position within the department. With his background and expertise, he was confident that he could make a significant impact in the community as a member of the LSSD. As he submitted his application, Anthony felt a renewed sense of excitement and anticipation for the opportunity to continue serving and protecting the citizens of Los Santos and Paleto Bay in a new and meaningful way. He knew that this next chapter in his career would be challenging, but he was ready to embrace the challenge and make a positive difference in the lives of those around him.
