Instructions to the Applicant
The information you provide in this application will be used in the background investigation to assist in determining your suitability for the position of San Andreas Peace Officer, in accordance with POST Commission Regulation 1953.
Disqualification
There are very few automatic bases for rejection. Even issues of prior misconduct, such as prior illegal drug use, driving under the influence, theft, or even arrest or conviction are usually not, in and of themselves, automatically disqualifying. However, deliberate misstatements or omissions can and often will result in your application being rejected, regardless of the nature or reason for the misstatements/omissions. In fact, the number one reason individuals "fail" background investigations is because they deliberately withhold or misrepresent job-relevant information from their prospective employer.

44. INTRODUCE YOUR CHARACTER. INCLUDE SOME BACKGROUND STORY, CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT, AND WHY THEY WANT TO JOIN THE DEPARTMENT.
- Carla Martinez was born in Colombia, Bogota. It's where she also lived for some of the time before she herself fully moved to the United States. She had a very good childhood and also a pretty adventurous one since her parents hobby was hiking, camping and traveling to other the countries, to the different kinds of mountains! And because of her parents hobby, Carla at a young age learned about survival in nature and climbing in mountains. Carla didn't make a lot of friends from Colombia since she was often traveling with her parents to the various countries, but she did manage to make some friends from different kind of countries, since she was living with hers parents most of the time in the camps.
Once Carla graduated from high school she went to live in Colorado, where she lived for some time and learned how to snowboard! While she lived in Colorado for a couple of years, she made a few new friends there with the same interests she has. She really enjoyed the Colorado terrain. She was living basically in the mountains with her friends. She was renting there with hers friends a decent cabin where they all lived together! She worked there as a waitress in the restaurant which was on the camping site too. She didn't make a lot of money from that job but it was enough for living and enjoying her favorite activities in nature. But unfortunately for her, after she lived there a couple of years, she had to move out of that cabin with all of hers friends because the owner of the cabin decided to sell the cabin and Carla with her friends had to find another place where to stay. So Carla used this opportunity and decided to move to San Andreas where she really had to get used to the San Andreas terrain and nature for some time, since it's a little bit different than she was used to living in. But once she figured out she should move to live in Chiliad mountains, she got pretty fast adopted to the new home state and has now been going into a lot of adventures and doing hiking events from what she is making now hers income. And since she has started doing outdoor activity events, she has managed to make a lot of friends who have the same interests she has too! Even surprisingly for her, she has managed to make friends with local law enforces, who a few days back saved hers life, when she got kidnapped by psycho killer. Even though it was a shocking experience in San Andreas for her, she still has decided to stay and live in the Chiliad Mountain camp. And since she has few law enforcement friends, she came up with the idea of applying to the sheriffs department academy too!
