Instructions to the Applicant
The information you provide in this application will be used in the background investigation to assist in determining your suitability for the position of San Andreas Peace Officer, in accordance with POST Commission Regulation 1953.
Disqualification
There are very few automatic bases for rejection. Even issues of prior misconduct, such as prior illegal drug use, driving under the influence, theft, or even arrest or conviction are usually not, in and of themselves, automatically disqualifying. However, deliberate misstatements or omissions can and often will result in your application being rejected, regardless of the nature or reason for the misstatements/omissions. In fact, the number one reason individuals “fail†background investigations is because they deliberately withhold or misrepresent job-relevant information from their prospective employer.

- Jakar Harris' journey begins in Los Santos, San Andreas. Jakar benefited by having a second-generation Spaniard mother and an African-American father. He came home to delicious meals and a cozy bed with lights on, but not everyone in his neighborhood had that. Jakar grew up in Davis, which is renowned for being drug-infested, so his mother was constantly reminding him not to go outside and get associated with local gangs and stickup kids. His father worked a lot, so he spent the most of his time online or with the older men his father introduced him to. His exposure to older guys, as well as his father, taught him the value of money, respect, and general manly behavior. One day, when he was waiting for an haircut, an elderly man named Fredrick approached him about joining the army. They had a lengthy discussion regarding Fredrick's service, and Jakar left with the intention of joining the army. When he arrived home, he hopped on his mother's laptop and watched army videos. After an hour of watching, he came across the United States Coast Guard, and after some research, he chose what he wanted to do.
Have a stick. Dad taught Jakar to behave in class and avoid getting involved with the wrong crowd; he enjoyed being alone rather than going to parties or hanging out with friends; and he was keen to make his father proud rather than impressing others. This was one of the primary reasons he wanted to join the military forces. Fast forward to Jakar's high school graduation, and he immediately goes home and applies to be a Boatswain Mate in the United States Coast Guard. That summer, he takes a bus from Los Santos to New London, Connecticut, and begins his boot camp. Once he got off the bus, he settled in and began filling out paperwork, acquiring his uniform, and doing whatever else he needed. The first few weeks were the most difficult physically, but after that, everything was easy sailing. Nearing his breaking point, the Coast Guard pushed him beyond his capabilities and provided him a new perspective on life. After graduating from the training, he was assigned to Tierra Robada to begin his first patrol with the Coast Guard. He hadn't heard from anyone in weeks. Once he returns to the station, he settles in and becomes acquainted with his coworkers, and over the next few weeks, he develops close relationships with three people. Life in the Coast Guard was excellent, but he realized he wouldn't be there forever and wished to return home and work locally, but he like what the Coast Guard performed since it provided him a sense of purpose. So he began exploring for other careers that involved law enforcement. He became interested in the Los Santos Police Department and began watching cop videos, eventually expanding his viewing to include all department videos.
He eventually discovered the Los Santos County Sheriff's Department and fell in love. It provided just what he was searching for: a local law enforcement agency. Los Santos Police Department was never in Davis when he was growing up; all he saw were sheriff's deputies. After his service, he went home and told his mother about his plans to join the Los Santos Sheriff's Department. (MINIMUM 250 WORDS)
