Instructions to the Applicant
The information you provide in this application will be used in the background investigation to assist in determining your suitability for the position of San Andreas Peace Officer, in accordance with POST Commission Regulation 1953.
Disqualification
There are very few automatic bases for rejection. Even issues of prior misconduct, such as prior illegal drug use, driving under the influence, theft, or even arrest or conviction are usually not, in and of themselves, automatically disqualifying. However, deliberate misstatements or omissions can and often will result in your application being rejected, regardless of the nature or reason for the misstatements/omissions. In fact, the number one reason individuals “fail†background investigations is because they deliberately withhold or misrepresent job-relevant information from their prospective employer.

- William was born in rural Leonida in 1991. His mother was a farmer, and his father served in the US Marine Corps.
Growing up in small-town America, he was instilled with rural community values and developed an appreciation for the natural world around him. His father was strict, and taught him to value justice, and to protect those around him. He was raised by his American father and Italian-American mother, and was brought up to speak both as fluently as they could teach him. He began studying Spanish at school, but quickly dropped out after only one semester. He is fluent in English and Italian; and knows some small measure of Spanish, intending on studying to learn it fully at a later date.
At the age of 13, after a bad hurricane destroyed his family's farm & crops, they moved to Vice City in search of work. His mother took up work in a packing plant; The family's lives were upended, and struggles started at home. His brother became involved in gang activity, and was killed tragically in a shoot-out with police.
At the age of 23, still grieving, and drawn by his father's legacy in the military, he enlisted in the US Marine Corps. Upon completing his basic training, he was attached to the 1st Marines Division, and underwent infantry training to become ready for combat roles. He was primarily attached to conventional infantry units, joining up with the 3rd batalion, 7th Marines under 0311 MOS. Between combat deployments, he spent some time in rotational deployments across the Asia-Pacific regions, and ended up serving 8 years in active duty, protecting his country.
After being discharged, he flew out to San Andreas.
He spent the first week of his time in Los Santos without work, but after talking to an ambulance worker, was turned toward employment as a security guard. After looking around, he was interviewed and approved for probationary security work at Pillbox Medical, where he served as an on-call security guard.
During this time, he made several acquaintances, but ultimately found hospital work unfitting, and this and external factors(detailed below)led to the decision to step down and apply for work elsewhere.
He overall desires to serve in the police force out of a strong sense of conviction and moral compass. William has always been taught that justice and fairness reign above all else, and was dismayed upon returning to the United States to find criminals running rampant throughout the city. He was always taught to respect the thin blue line, and the last 8 years of his life were spent in service of his country, keeping the citizens of the United States safe.
After talking with numerous police officers, and even assisting in a traffic accident and providing his statement - an offduty officer had struck a speeding biker, travelling up the wrong lane, and he provided chest compressions while they waited for EMS - both the off duty LSPD officer & on duty LSSD Deputy suggested he might be a good fit for law enforcement.
Several nights later, he was violently assaulted by a crazed fast food worker and subsequently witnessed a shootout in front of police. Ducking behind cover with his dog and witnessing the chaos all around him, he made up his mind to throw his hat in for law enforcement to see if he could make a positive difference.
