Instructions to the Applicant
The information you provide in this application will be used in the background investigation to assist in determining your suitability for the position of San Andreas Peace Officer, in accordance with POST Commission Regulation 1953.
Disqualification
There are very few automatic bases for rejection. Even issues of prior misconduct, such as prior illegal drug use, driving under the influence, theft, or even arrest or conviction are usually not, in and of themselves, automatically disqualifying. However, deliberate misstatements or omissions can and often will result in your application being rejected, regardless of the nature or reason for the misstatements/omissions. In fact, the number one reason individuals “fail†background investigations is because they deliberately withhold or misrepresent job-relevant information from their prospective employer.

- Oliver Fairchild is a 22 year old , caucasian man, born January 7th, 2001. Oliver grew up in a middle-class home in Paleto Bay. In early life, Oliver was home-schooled by his mother Meredith Fairchild. His father, John Fairchild was a deputy sheriff working on Great Ocean Highway. When Meredith was young her parents were not very involved in her life as they worked all the time to support their family. She never felt as though they cared about her which is why she wanted to make sure that she would be involved in her due with Oliver. Due to being home-schooled up until the age of 13, Oliver did not develop much of any social skills which led him to not be able to make or keep many friends as the only kids he interacted with were the kids in his neighborhood. This caused Oliver to be extremely sad all of the time. He did not know why he was feeling the way he was but all he knew for sure is that something had to change. By the time Oliver was 13, he decided to ask his parents Meredith and John if he were allowed to attend public school if he wanted. After some deliberation his parents decided that if Oliver truly wanted to attend public school he could start in the upcoming August. When Oliver first began public school he did not really know how to interact with most of the kids in his school. After some time he began looking at some of the extracurricular activities that the school provided which is when he saw baseball, a sport that he had watched since he was young. At that moment, he decided that he would try out for the team as it would be a way to have fun while making some friends. Oliver was nervous before attending tryouts although he eventually decided that he would go through with it. A couple days after tryouts, Oliver was placed onto the team as he was actually pretty good at baseball. Baseball was a way for Oliver to make friends, be active, and most importantly do something he really enjoyed. Oliver continued to play baseball throughout all of primary and secondary school and although he never grew to be exceptionally social, he had his friends through baseball, his education, and his family, and that was all that mattered to him. Oliver graduated high school in May of 2018 and moved to Los Santos in order to attend Los Santos University for criminal justice. Over the course of his time at LSU, he met some new friends and decided that after graduating he would apply to become a deputy sheriff just as his father had. In October of 2022, Oliver graduated with a Bachelor of Criminal Justice. Oliver now seeks employment with the Los Santos County Sheriff’s Department.
