Instructions to the Applicant
The information you provide in this application will be used in the background investigation to assist in determining your suitability for the position of San Andreas Peace Officer, in accordance with POST Commission Regulation 1953.
Disqualification
There are very few automatic bases for rejection. Even issues of prior misconduct, such as prior illegal drug use, driving under the influence, theft, or even arrest or conviction are usually not, in and of themselves, automatically disqualifying. However, deliberate misstatements or omissions can and often will result in your application being rejected, regardless of the nature or reason for the misstatements/omissions. In fact, the number one reason individuals “fail†background investigations is because they deliberately withhold or misrepresent job-relevant information from their prospective employer.

- SPOILER: show
- Dennis Wright is a 22-year-old young male, who moved in to the countryside after graduating from high school to get away from the hustle and bustle of Los Santos. He had lived in Los Santos with his parents all his life, but never felt like it was meant for him. Instead he wished for a peaceful environment and moved into Sandy Shores, quickly settling into his own nook.
Dennis felt like he was where he belonged. The simplicity and friendliness of the countryside made him happy, and he landed a job at the Grapeseed convenience store as a shop assistant. It was an easy job, where Dennis was doing the same tasks every day, and he liked this monotonicity at first. It was the social aspect of his job which kept him going, but once a few short years had gone by, Dennis slowly realized that there was nothing more he could get as a shop assistant, and the monotonicity turned out to be a negative factor in his job. It wasn't easy for him to realize this, and at first he thought that he was just suffering from burnout. Indeed he was, but it was due to this exact reason, which Dennis figured out shortly after as well.
He began looking for job openings in his area, when he stumbled across the job posting of the Sheriff's Department for new Deputy Sheriff Trainees. It was closed, so Dennis scrolled further down the list, not giving it much attention. He couldn't get the posting off of his mind though, thinking about it more and more. It progressed to him asking his family and friends whether he'd be a good deputy; someone who helps and does good things for the local community.
Dennis got all sorts of mixed opinions from his relatives regarding his career aspirations in law enforcement - but they didn't influence his decision. He found out about the benefits that deputies receive and learned about possible career paths. Despite no history of law enforcement in his family or social circle, and having received mixed opinions regarding his ambitions, Dennis still feels like this is the logical step he must take, since otherwise he'll just keep going back to the convenience store to earn minimum wage with no end in sight.
