Instructions to the Applicant
The information you provide in this application will be used in the background investigation to assist in determining your suitability for the position of San Andreas Peace Officer, in accordance with POST Commission Regulation 1953.
Disqualification
There are very few automatic bases for rejection. Even issues of prior misconduct, such as prior illegal drug use, driving under the influence, theft, or even arrest or conviction are usually not, in and of themselves, automatically disqualifying. However, deliberate misstatements or omissions can and often will result in your application being rejected, regardless of the nature or reason for the misstatements/omissions. In fact, the number one reason individuals “fail†background investigations is because they deliberately withhold or misrepresent job-relevant information from their prospective employer.

- John was born in August 1990 at Central Los Santos Medical Center. Both of John's parents are Italian and moved to Los Santos about fifty years ago, seeing it as an opportunity to get a better life. It wasn't easy at first and it took years of hard work before his parents finally obtained citizenship. John's childhood was marked by extreme poverty, and he was often forced to move between different shabby apartments. Although John came from a poor family, he didn't consider his childhood being bad. Quite the opposite because his parents raised him well according to Christian values. He was taught to be happy and grateful for even the smallest things.
As John got a little older, he often heard stories about Italy and why his parents moved to the states. The main reasons were organized crime and corruption. His parents were subjected to daily blackmail as they owned a small supermarket and received no help or support. This made John sad and angry. Slowly but surely, he became interested in criminology and after graduating from junior high school decided to study criminology at university.
When John began his studies, his parents were still very poor, so John started to work part-time in a local store. John had a great time and became good friends with the management. One day, when John came to work after his long-awaited break, he was greeted at the door by one of the owners, crying. When he asked what happened, he learned that the store had been robbed the night before. Unfortunately, the robbers escaped before the police arrived. The robbers had worn masks and were never recognized for their crimes. A few days later it turns out that the owner didn't pay the insurance premium, and he wasn’t able to get back the stolen money. As a result, the shop went bankrupt and had to permanently close after a couple of weeks. John was after this event more motivated than ever to complete his studies at college to find a job fighting crime.
After John finished his studies, he began helping people who were victims of crime and needed assistance via CA Victim Compensation Board. He has worked there for several years and has spoken with countless of victims. As most of his work is volunteer work, he is is working part-time as a trucker at Karanov trucking to make some extra money. Today, John decided to apply to Los Santos Sheriff Department for new challenges and opportunities to fight crime and help victims in other ways. He also finds the salary offer attractive and an opportunity for him to quit his extra part-time job and get some more leisure time.
