Instructions to the Applicant
The information you provide in this application will be used in the background investigation to assist in determining your suitability for the position of San Andreas Peace Officer, in accordance with POST Commission Regulation 1953.
Disqualification
There are very few automatic bases for rejection. Even issues of prior misconduct, such as prior illegal drug use, driving under the influence, theft, or even arrest or conviction are usually not, in and of themselves, automatically disqualifying. However, deliberate misstatements or omissions can and often will result in your application being rejected, regardless of the nature or reason for the misstatements/omissions. In fact, the number one reason individuals “fail†background investigations is because they deliberately withhold or misrepresent job-relevant information from their prospective employer.

- Jonathan Vargas was born to a huge family, including his parents and his three siblings, Oscar, Sebastian, and Morena. He grew up in Morningwood and had a rather quiet childhood. His mother, Isabella, is a nurse, working at the Pillbox Hill Medical Center while his father, Ramon, was employed at the department of public works. Despite having a peaceful childhood, his parent’s separation in 2012 has been taken very badly by Jonathan. By this time, “Jo†has become very introverted and withdrawn. He started learning his lessons abusively, while he wasn’t a good student at all. His father, Ramon, is also being denied the means to improve his financial conditions, when he lost his job after being found drunk at his construction site. The trial judge decided that it was in the children’s best interest to live with their mother, Isabella. Hence, he spent his teenage years living with her.
Besides that, Jonathan loves sports in general. He joined his High School’s baseball team where he reached a rather decent level. He quickly realized that there was a good level but he has strengthened his self with some intense trainings. Furthermore, Jonathan shows some interests in history. He spent a lot of his free time reading biographies, and travelling. His mother’s good financial condition allowed him to visit foreign countries, especially in Latin America. Moreover, Jonathan thought that he had to deal with his shyness. Indeed, he had quite of trouble to move forward and started increasing his social interactions by partying with his comrades. A normal student’s life.
Jonathan graduated from his High School Diploma in 2019 in the Morningwood High School. That being said, he didn’t like studies and the Diploma was the default option for him. Instead of joining a university, Jonathan decided to seek for an employment. Nevertheless, he knew that with his low level of education, he wasn’t able to seek for a well-paid job. That’s how he started working at Up’N’Atom in 2019. He spent lot of his time in the kitchen, cooking some burgers without knowing what he was going to do with his career. Jonathan realized that he was not able to work at a routine job. Once out of his contract, Jonathan started looking for another opportunity. His mother, Isabella, recommended him to join a governmental institution. She’s not helping Jonathan financially anymore, and started putting some pressure on him to find a stable employment.
This is how Jonathan Vargas saw opportunities at the Los Santos Sheriff’s Department (LSSD). Very connected, he spotted advertisements and campaigns about the next twenty-week training program. Then, he decided to apply for the LSSD. As he said, it is a well-paid job, and he will be able to try out all the facets of the job.
