VICTOR VARGAS PROMOTED TO CAPTAIN — BASIC SERGEANT SUPERVISORY SCHOOL

Victor Vargas has promoted to the rank of Captain and has assumed a permanent position as the Unit Commander of the Basic Sergeant Supervisory School. This position is crucial to our daily operations as it is responsible for training and selecting our supervisors. Our supervisors carry a large amount of responsibility when out on the field, and it is paramount that they are given the tools and knowledge that they need to be successful.

Vargas started his service in 2004 as a Custody Deputy at the Men's Central Jail. In 2006, he was assigned to the Court Services Bureau as a Court Deputy before promoting to Sergeant, Security Operations Unit in 2013. Vargas promoted to Lieutenant, Court Services Bureau in 2018, and was appointed as an Administrator for the Basic Sergeant Supervisory School in 2022.

We congratulate Victor Vargas on his promotion and are excited for his leadership.
