Instructions to the Applicant
The information you provide in this application will be used in the background investigation to assist in determining your suitability for the position of San Andreas Peace Officer, in accordance with POST Commission Regulation 1953.
Disqualification
There are very few automatic bases for rejection. Even issues of prior misconduct, such as prior illegal drug use, driving under the influence, theft, or even arrest or conviction are usually not, in and of themselves, automatically disqualifying. However, deliberate misstatements or omissions can and often will result in your application being rejected, regardless of the nature or reason for the misstatements/omissions. In fact, the number one reason individuals “fail” background investigations is because they deliberately withhold or misrepresent job-relevant information from their prospective employer.

- Derwood King's journey to becoming a Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) is deeply rooted in his upbringing and personal experiences. Growing up in a small town, Derwood was raised by his single mother, who worked tirelessly to provide for him and his siblings. Despite the challenges they faced, Derwood's mother instilled in him a strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and compassion. It was during his high school years that Derwood discovered his passion for wrestling. The sport not only taught him the value of hard work and perseverance but also gave him a sense of purpose and belonging. As he excelled on the wrestling mat, Derwood realized that he had a natural ability to lead and inspire others, qualities that would later serve him well in his pursuit of a career in law enforcement. After graduating from high school, Derwood decided to pursue a degree in Law at University Of Texas. He worked part-time as a bouncer and a wrestling coach to support himself and gain practical experience in the field. His time in college further fueled his desire to make a difference in his community and inspired him to become a LEO. Now, at 25, Derwood is determined to achieve his dream of joining the police force. He knows that the road ahead will be challenging, but he is prepared to face whatever obstacles come his way. With his strong work ethic, leadership skills, and unwavering dedication, Derwood is confident that he has what it takes to succeed in his chosen profession and make a positive impact on the world around him.
