Instructions to the Applicant
The information you provide in this application will be used in the background investigation to assist in determining your suitability for the position of San Andreas Peace Officer, in accordance with POST Commission Regulation 1953.
Disqualification
There are very few automatic bases for rejection. Even issues of prior misconduct, such as prior illegal drug use, driving under the influence, theft, or even arrest or conviction are usually not, in and of themselves, automatically disqualifying. However, deliberate misstatements or omissions can and often will result in your application being rejected, regardless of the nature or reason for the misstatements/omissions. In fact, the number one reason individuals "fail" background investigations is because they deliberately withhold or misrepresent job-relevant information from their prospective employer.

44. INTRODUCE YOUR CHARACTER. INCLUDE SOME BACKGROUND STORY, CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT, AND WHY THEY WANT TO JOIN THE DEPARTMENT.
- Santana Jones was born on July 18, 1992, at Pillbox Medical Center in Los Santos. Growing up in Vinewood Hills, Santana lived a pretty normal life, he had plenty of friends and had good grades throughout elementary and middle school. He enjoyed playing football or even skating at the skate park. He had a passion for football, and he found it peaceful. The LSSD sometimes patrolled his neighborhood, and he had a good relationship with one officer. Santana would constantly be outside, even talking to girls around his neighborhood. Trying to impress them in some sort of way.
Santana progressed through middle school. He'd start to realize the importance of his actions; what he did mattered. So he started to watch his group, his company that he'd keep. Santana's parents would constantly be busy with work, which would always make them late to pick him up from school. He'd develop patience, which was one of his greatest strengths, but Santana would like to be independent. He'd hate to ask for help and refused to ask for help. Which was one of his greatest weaknesses.ana entered high school, his parents began to verbally argue. Santana's father began to become physical, harming not only his wife but Santana as well. His father was arrested for possession of crack cocaine when, with his mother, she was killed in a drive-by shooting. Which would lead to mental health issues. He wouldn't wish this on his worst enemy.
After everything happened, Santana moved in with his grandmother. They lived in Davis, which was an area with a high crime rate. Santana began to witness tons of crime, which he started to get used to. But he knows in his mind that he shouldn't be used to it. Which would start to spark the idea of law enforcement. Santana tried to stay away from home as much as possible by spending more time in school, any excuse to keep him away. Santana would stumble across sports. He began to play football for his school, which would quickly come to an end due to an injury.
When Santana graduated from high school, he had to pick up a job to support himself financially. He got a job at the Davis LTD as a cashier, where he has been working for some months now. These jobs didn't have too much for Santana to do, which would leave him time to evaluate his choices. Santana was able to attend college but wasn't sure what he wanted to major in.
Santana was in college for two years when he received his associate's degree. He discovered opportunities in the LSSD. Santana decided to take a path within' the LSPD. He failed to pass the probationary phase, which caused Jones to take a break from working for a while. Due to him failing, Jones thought his career was over. He wouldn't succeed in anything he thought. He stumbled across a poster from the LSSD mentioning recruitment. He thought it could be the start of a new beginning, his journey in becoming a cop wasn't over yet!
