Instructions to the Applicant
The information you provide in this application will be used in the background investigation to assist in determining your suitability for the position of San Andreas Peace Officer, in accordance with POST Commission Regulation 1953.
Disqualification
There are very few automatic bases for rejection. Even issues of prior misconduct, such as prior illegal drug use, driving under the influence, theft, or even arrest or conviction are usually not, in and of themselves, automatically disqualifying. However, deliberate misstatements or omissions can and often will result in your application being rejected, regardless of the nature or reason for the misstatements/omissions. In fact, the number one reason individuals "fail" background investigations is because they deliberately withhold or misrepresent job-relevant information from their prospective employer.

44. INTRODUCE YOUR CHARACTER. INCLUDE SOME BACKGROUND STORY, CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT, AND WHY THEY WANT TO JOIN THE DEPARTMENT.
- Danielle Flores was born in South Central, Los Santos in 1998, the daughter of second-generation immigrants from Manila, Phillippines. She spent the early years of her life fairly poor, born into a working class family; her father working as a mechanic and her mother voluntarily helping asian immigrants in need. She was exposed to violence from the youngest age possible, watching lone mothers mourn their lost children to violence, the lack of help and assistance from the government, injunctions and police crackdowns. Witnessing the horrors of gang warfare had left a permanent scar on her, as it would on anyone - but, as she matured, it also piqued her interest in law enforcement - the amount of violence that she witnessed was rivalled by the amount of support and assistance the local police department provided to the residents of South Central, with many officers and deputies offering support to victims of gang violence whenever possible. It was like a bright light at the end of the tunnel. She knew what her calling was; subconsciously knowing she owes it to the community and deciding to assist it in the only way she knows to; not wanting her children to be raised in the same environment she was brought up in - and her parents before her.
To better her chances at joining the department, she took up a part-time job at a local grocery store whilst attending school in hopes of saving up money to rent an apartment and acquire a driver’s license. Shortly after finishing high school, she moved out of her parents’ house and into her own, leaving her where she is now - at the brink of realising her dream.
