Instructions to the Applicant
The information you provide in this application will be used in the background investigation to assist in determining your suitability for the position of San Andreas Peace Officer, in accordance with POST Commission Regulation 1953.
Disqualification
There are very few automatic bases for rejection. Even issues of prior misconduct, such as prior illegal drug use, driving under the influence, theft, or even arrest or conviction are usually not, in and of themselves, automatically disqualifying. However, deliberate misstatements or omissions can and often will result in your application being rejected, regardless of the nature or reason for the misstatements/omissions. In fact, the number one reason individuals “fail†background investigations is because they deliberately withhold or misrepresent job-relevant information from their prospective employer.

- Vincent Glass is a product of his upbringing, his father is a powerful man as was his grandfather before him. A family lineage of money and influence that made life detestably easy for Vincent, he went to the best schools and had the best tutors, his every passing hobby was indulged and nurtured by a family that only accepted excellence from him. Growing up he studied piano, languages, literature... All with the eventual aim of joining his father in the family business. His education was planned out for him, shaped toward Harvard Law like his father and to that end he was shipped off to boarding school with his subjects chosen to give him the best chance at that, he joined the same extracurricular clubs as his father, rowing and wrestling, debate team and model senate. He was pushed to study, to dedicate his time outside of school to community projects and junior politics, not that it really would have mattered... As a legacy and from a monied family, his admittance was almost a guarantee.
So rigid was his upbringing he almost didn't have time to think about what he wanted until he finally found himself in the dorms at Harvard, he continued to throw himself into his work and studies, picking up extracurricular activities at the usual rate. He joined the rowing team, continued with wrestling and, to his father's distaste, started to pick up on alternative politics. Just because he was rich didn't mean he had to like it after all. He excelled in his classes, despite being able to coast he'd never had the mindset for it, while he'd had very little hand in his life he was determined to do the best he could with it, but his new friends and fellow students came from all walks of life and a great many of them had thoughts and opinions about what life ought to be.
When Vincent graduated he barely got enough time to breathe before his father offered him a position at the company to "Give him the experience" he'd need to start his path into Law in time for the winter semester. He was thrown into the world of high-priced suits, double-talk and creative uses for his very expensive college degree. What he found very quickly was that he absolutely hated it, the two faced back handed dealing that went into his father's world grated on him more and more as time went on, and he found himself reluctant to return to his studies. The winter intake came and went, the summer intake the same. It got to the point where his father was starting to strongly infer he should return to finish Law School when Vincent finally made his choice. The argument lasted for days, Vincent determined to live his own life and his father determined he wasn't going to. Threats were made on both sides and when Vincent stormed out of the house that day it was with his father's assurance he'd be cut off, without a single penny of his father's money to make his way.
Vincent had more than enough to make his escape, his time at the company had been profitable at least and when he got to the airport he chose to get as far away from the family and their reach as he could, from East coast to West. His first month in Los Santos was spent trying to figure out what he wanted from his life and where he planned to go with it. The idea quickly solidifying that if his father was so determined to have him study law, he would. Just not in the way the old man had planned. A recruiting stand for the LSSD had caught his eye as he'd gone past ULSA and the thought had never left his mind. With a new future forming and a way to live his own life without wasting his old one in place, he made another choice: to be upstanding, honest and to actually help the people around him rather than exploit them.
