GRASS ROOTS FOUNDER MISAPPROPRIATES $3.6 MILLION IN DONATIONS; AVERY LAFAYETTE AND WIFE DIONNE CRIMINALLY CHARGED
On July 31st, 2023, Los Santos County Sheriff's Detectives from the Major Crimes Bureau executed an arrest warrant for Avery Lafayette, renowned founder of the charity organization Grass Roots, on multiple charges of felony fraud, felony embezzlement, and false impersonation.
The investigation was triggered when Avery Lafayette, already in custody on unrelated aviation operation charges, voluntarily confessed to his involvement in financial crimes.
