Instructions to the Applicant
The information you provide in this application will be used in the background investigation to assist in determining your suitability for the position of San Andreas Peace Officer, in accordance with POST Commission Regulation 1953.
Disqualification
There are very few automatic bases for rejection. Even issues of prior misconduct, such as prior illegal drug use, driving under the influence, theft, or even arrest or conviction are usually not, in and of themselves, automatically disqualifying. However, deliberate misstatements or omissions can and often will result in your application being rejected, regardless of the nature or reason for the misstatements/omissions. In fact, the number one reason individuals “fail†background investigations is because they deliberately withhold or misrepresent job-relevant information from their prospective employer.

- 22-year-old Kelford Parks. Born and raised in Los Santos, where he lived in a small apartment with his middle-class family. Kelford Parks successfully terminated his High School studies without knowing what would be next. He started to face the harsh reality of life. At this time, he was 18 and had few options. Turns out he was obliged to start looking for a job. The three younger brothers Kelford Parks had to support were all still in primary school. His father was an elderly Vietnam veteran who lost one of his leg in war and was unable to support his family. The mother of Kelford Parks was a very stern woman who placed a high value on honor and justice. She spent the majority of her time taking care of household chores. Kelford Parks was exposed to gangs but their parents made everything in their power to take him away from this way of life. Growing up in a gang-infested area did not make things much easier for the family.
After over a hundred applications, Kelford Parks was fortunate enough to land a job. His prideful father, who is the kind to never seek for help, eventually swallowed his pride and made some calls to arrange an interview for his son. He finally got himself a job in a cab company located in Downtown Los Santos. Kelford had a pretty normal life by now, nothing extravagant or out of the ordinary. He was on his daily routine until one day, the day that made the difference. Indeed, Parks witnessed the killing of a young Afro-American boy as he headed back to the depot. After this tragic outcome, Kelford never stopped thinking about it, ways to make a difference.
A week later as he was going to work, he noticed a billboard advertising the Los Santos Sheriff's Department. Kelford decided to give it a shot to maybe, render his neighborhood safe for his younger brothers.
