Instructions to the Applicant
The information you provide in this application will be used in the background investigation to assist in determining your suitability for the position of San Andreas Peace Officer, in accordance with POST Commission Regulation 1953.
Disqualification
There are very few automatic bases for rejection. Even issues of prior misconduct, such as prior illegal drug use, driving under the influence, theft, or even arrest or conviction are usually not, in and of themselves, automatically disqualifying. However, deliberate misstatements or omissions can and often will result in your application being rejected, regardless of the nature or reason for the misstatements/omissions. In fact, the number one reason individuals “fail†background investigations is because they deliberately withhold or misrepresent job-relevant information from their prospective employer.

- Esteban was born in 1997 on a cold day in January. His parents Matilda and Alejandro Garcia felt blessed by the birth of Esteban because they have been trying to have a baby for a long time and with no luck until now. Esteban's family was living a low-class life but they were as happy as a family could be. His father worked as a mechanic and his mother worked as a nurse at a local hospital. Esteban grew up in a small neighborhood which had multiple parks and green places. He lived on a quite street that had lots of friendly neighbors that would help each other if needed, without hesitation. Luckily for Esteban, the local elementary school he went at, was close to his house so he was able to attend many after-school activities, without having his parents worried.
As years passed by he started questioning himself about how does the brain work and how is it programmed to create all the feelings that humans have. His dream was to become a Psychologist and work with individuals who were struggling with mental health issues. One of the many reasons that contributed to creating his dream was that one of his best friends was struggling with mental health issues and he saw the amount of pain that the aforementioned condition is causing to his friend and his friends family. Using his ambition and hard work he succeeded in being accepted at a local college.
During his college years he attended optional classes that were related to criminal justice which made him realize that Psychology is frequently used in law enforcement. After achieving his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology he saw an opportunity to use his skills as a Psychologist to help improve the lives of people who are in need of it. But as we all do know, life is the one and truly thing that is extremely unpredictable. After much consideration and thought, Esteban finally decided that by becoming a police officer he would truly combine his hard learned skills from college with his compassion and love for the community. And with this decision, "he took his heart in his hands" and applied at the Los Santos Police Department. After passing thorough inspections, he finally became a Cadet of the Los Santos Police Department. As weeks passed by, he would attend all the classes at the Academy and undergo every fizical and advancement programs. At the end of the Academy he was happy to find that he was one of the "lucky" people that have passed all the fizical examinatios during the Academy. But before being able to call himself a Police Officer he had one more test, the final written examination. Even though he prepared for weeks, it seemed that it has not been enough, this time he had run out of luck. Sadly he did not manage to pass the Academy Examination which made him feel unworthy of a law enforcement position.
Even so, as time passed by, he managed to regain his once lost self confidence and reevaluated his options. While searching the web, he found the Los Santos Sheriffs Department site, thus finding hope once again. He then decided to fight for his goal again, which consisted of upholding the law and protecting the people, making a positive impact in the community by being committed to upholding the ethical and moral obligations of the job and by treating all individuals with dignity and respect with a commitment to fairness and justice.
