Instructions to the Applicant
The information you provide in this application will be used in the background investigation to assist in determining your suitability for the position of San Andreas Peace Officer, in accordance with POST Commission Regulation 1953.
Disqualification
There are very few automatic bases for rejection. Even issues of prior misconduct, such as prior illegal drug use, driving under the influence, theft, or even arrest or conviction are usually not, in and of themselves, automatically disqualifying. However, deliberate misstatements or omissions can and often will result in your application being rejected, regardless of the nature or reason for the misstatements/omissions. In fact, the number one reason individuals “fail†background investigations is because they deliberately withhold or misrepresent job-relevant information from their prospective employer.

- Leroyce Porter grew up in a quiet suburban neighborhood in East Los Santos. He had a family with both parents present and two older siblings who were always looking out for him. Overall, they lived conservatively and found themselves often in the crossfire of territorial gang politics in the area. As a result, Porter was no stranger to violence and the woes of the street.
When Leroyce graduated middle school, things started to change. After his father had lost his job, the Porter family suffered significant financial strife, this caused them to sell their East Los Santos residence and move to a more lower income neighborhood in Davis. Compared to his previous experiences on the street, South Los Santos proved to be a much more challenging area to live in for Leroyce. He was constantly looked down upon as an outsider due to having just moved in.
Leroyce developed a passion for basketball in his middle school and high school years. His dream was to play professionally one day, however unlikely that might have been. He was eager for being part of a team and contributing to a team dynamic, this is what separated himself from his more anti-social peers of whom were closely or loosely tied to criminal activity.
After graduating from Davis High School, Porter maintained his employment at Davis LTD gas station in order to pay his rent and eventually put himself through community college. Leroyce's life experiences as a teen most likely contributed to his decision for applying to the LSSD, despite feeling like it was his calling to contribute to his community positively contrary to the trouble his peers put themselves through. The benefits of joining up with the department, of which only required a high school degree which Porter possessed, far outweighed any other avenue for him to put himself through school in the future and potentially create a rewarding career as a Sheriff's Deputy.
