Instructions to the Applicant
The information you provide in this application will be used in the background investigation to assist in determining your suitability for the position of San Andreas Peace Officer, in accordance with POST Commission Regulation 1953.
Disqualification
There are very few automatic bases for rejection. Even issues of prior misconduct, such as prior illegal drug use, driving under the influence, theft, or even arrest or conviction are usually not, in and of themselves, automatically disqualifying. However, deliberate misstatements or omissions can and often will result in your application being rejected, regardless of the nature or reason for the misstatements/omissions. In fact, the number one reason individuals “fail†background investigations is because they deliberately withhold or misrepresent job-relevant information from their prospective employer.

- Jameson O'Brien was born to a lower-middle-class family in San Fierro. As a child, he often found himself at odds with other kids in the town, primarily because of his Catholic family and beliefs. At thirteen, he had a rough life, as his father had died of a heart attack, and his mother was struggling to make ends meet. Jameson met his future wife, Fane, when he was fourteen when he first laid his eyes on her. Without hesitation, Jameson approached and began conversing with the girl named "Fane." The two kept in contact utilizing the traditional manner of writing letters and using the latest technology to send online messages. Jameson graduated from high school with average marks and attended community college, earning an Associate's degree in liberal arts. When both of the lovers turned eighteen, they married in June. Their wedding was a quiet affair, with only a few friends in attendance. After getting married, the couple settled in Los Santos. They moved so quickly because Jameson bought a plane ticket to Los Santos, figuring it would be a fresh start; they moved to Los Santos for multiple good reasons, such as low rent, schools nearby, and good people. The pair worked hard, camping out in an airport terminal stairwell. They were caught by a janitor, who kindly let them stay for the rest of the month. The lovers moved into an apartment in the Southside of Los Santos, where they could hear a couple of shots just down the street. Images of the Twin Towers incident still flashing inside his head, he decided to pursue a career in the Armed Forces.
O'Brien was fortunate enough to make it through boot camp before his assigned unit, 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Division, made its deployment in Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003. He had signed an eight-year active duty contract with the Marines and would remain in 3/1 for the entirety of his active duty service. O'Brien completed three deployments, including an extended deployment by personal choice. Deployment to Kuwait in 2003 in advance of the subsequent buildup of American coalition forces and eventual invasion of Iraq on 20 March. Participated in the Battle of Nasiriyah with Regimental Combat Team 1. Returned stateside in the summer of 2003. O'Brien returned to Los Santos with his wife, struggling with mental health issues, and has signed up for a class in aiding veterans with their mental problems. O'Brien started a contract as a short time, Chef in an Italian pizza place as he witnessed multiple gang-related crimes in his workplace as well as extortion threats by multiple unknown groups; Jameson noticed how these crimes would get handled by Law Enforcement personnel and during his time, he has friended multiple Officers from different departments. Jameson figured that he should pursue a career in civil services by utilizing his skill set and figured it would be a fresh start. During his days, O'Brien has ensured that he's mentally and physically fit for any possible upcoming recruitment process. O'Brien received the news that the LSPD recruitment page was accepting candidates, but O'Brien sadly failed. O'Brien has decided to file for a Guard Card application and participate in a security company as an Armed Guard. O'Brien was accepted into Bobcat Security and later joined Arcani Security. Jameson decided to pursue a career with Arcani Security and passed his interview with flying colors earning him a position as an armed security guard. After witnessing the opening for the LSSD, O'Brien decided to file an application for the department as his interests are still attracted to Law Enforcement. (MINIMUM 250 WORDS)
