Disqualification

There are very few automatic bases for rejection. 44. INTRODUCE YOUR CHARACTER. INCLUDE SOME BACKGROUND STORY, CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT, AND WHY THEY WANT TO JOIN THE DEPARTMENT.

• Mattias Greco was born in Paleto Bay, in the household of a big family, that struggled financially. His parents, who were working in the county fields, could barely make money for their family, so even from a young age, Mattias decided to focus on his studies and develop his life differently, to be able to provide a better life for his own family one day. His biggest motivation was his uncle, who was a part of the local Sheriff's Department. Mattias used to look up to him and consider him as a parental figure, therefore, he decided to follow his footsteps and become a Deputy Sheriff in his adulthood. The road to that was not easy, as he had to overcome several difficulties, including financial struggles, however, with the help from his uncle, he managed to continues his studies and even achieve a Bachelor's Degree, in order to have a better education and a plan B in case his first choice for career did not work out.
  
  Throughout his university days, when he moved to Los Santos to study, he was occasionally visiting his family in the county, while renting a small apartment in Strawberry, together with two roommates. His roommates were not on the right path of life and were occasionally trying to pull him into that type of life, however, he firmly chose to stick to his original plans for his life and not fall under wrong influences. He was quite successful in University, while also participating into local food drives and other types of events to help the community in Strawberry. His strong moral character could easily be seen throughout his youth days.
  
  After settling down in Los Santos and getting the degree, he decided to follow his original dream, move back to the county and apply to the LSSD. Additionally, meanwhile, his father and uncle have died, so he had to be close to his sick mother, to help her both with general life struggles, as well as financially. He could not spend too much time in the city anymore, so that confirmed his decision even more, to solely focus on his first career choice. Furthermore, he has always believed that he can help the community best if he gets directly involved, such as becoming a Deputy Sheriff.
