43. INTRODUCE YOUR CHARACTER. INCLUDE SOME BACKGROUND STORY, CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT, AND WHY THEY WANT TO JOIN THE DEPARTMENT.

• Chongxi, or 'Abe' as most call him, is a lost son of Los Santos. Born the eldest child to a pair of East Asian immigrants, he spent his formative years as a member of Los Santos' lower class. His parents owned and operated a small shop in the garment district, making enough money to edge by and keep each mouth fed. He grew up in this environment, his childhood filled with a cycle of working at the family business, going to school and getting into trouble. Eventually this 'trouble' started to steer him down a less than legal path, and like many of his peers he began to orbit organized crime. His parents, fearing for their eldest son's future, followed the advice of a family friend and pressured him to join the Armed Forces.
  
  Surprisingly, Abe took well to military life. He melded the structure and defined purpose, and used his time in the military to build the foundations for his adult life. He completed his secondary education, he trudges his way up to a Non-Commissioned Officer grade, and found even got married to a fellow airman. Eventually they had son, and made plans to settle down as a family stateside. His wife left the service first, becoming a civilian firefighter with SanFire. However in 2021, she passed away combating that summer's wildfires. Due to this tragedy, Hu cut his military career short, opting to instead finish out his contract and return to civilian life instead of raise his son as a single father on a military base.
  
  He now lives in the Inland Empire near his in-laws, the counties of San Andreas between Los Santos and Nevada. Though he longs to work in the city where he grew up, and wants to work a job where he isn't tied to a desk while also earning a good salary.
