Disqualification

There are very few automatic bases for rejection. 43. INTRODUCE YOUR CHARACTER. INCLUDE SOME BACKGROUND STORY, CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT, AND WHY THEY WANT TO JOIN THE DEPARTMENT.

• Jason Tin was born to an Asian-American father of Chinese descent and an African-American mother. Jason is the youngest in the family, having two older siblings. Most of his early childhood was spent living in Downtown LS and visiting his father in the local military base on occasion. Jason's family have a longstanding tradition of service with notable members such as his grandfather who was enlisted during the Vietnam war and his father who went on tour during the war on terror. As the youngest of the family, Jason has long felt the pressure of living up to his family's expectations of him enlisting into a US Military branch. His two older siblings managed just that with the eldest joining the Marine Corp and his other sibling joining the Army as an officer. Jason's official journey into his military service began with him being accepted into Texas A&M. There he joined the ROTC which would then lead to him fully enlisting and joining basic training. His career in the military would not last long, however, as after he finished his basic training he found the both the mental and psychological pressure given by his family and his own personal struggles puts too much strain on his mental well-being, which lead to him being discharged from the military. He spend the entire year after his discharge recovering and engaging in recreational activities. He then decides to join the LSSD in a way to somewhat connect with his roots of being in the military without being in the military, plus the added bonus of him not needing to be away from his hometown is a great motivating factor for his decision.
